Fresh from Clayton’s best-ever Burghley – where he and Be My Guest II took third place in the landmark four-star event- it was Lucinda’s turn at the Blenheim Horse Trials.
In the CCI***. Lucinda and Prada finished ninth on a score of 55.2, while Clayton and Brookleigh were one step behind at 10th on 56.2. Clayton and Mr Miller 2 were in 50th place in the same event with 100.8.
Prada was ridden by Lucinda to first place in the two-star at Houghton this season, eight year old Brookleigh was first in the CCI **at Barocca with Clayton in March, and Mr. Miller II was first in the CIC **last year at Barocca.
Clayton took tenth place in Blenheim’s CIC *** event for eight and nine year old horses on Walterstown Don, who has distinguished himself with first and second places at the South of England and Gatcombe events this season and just recently returned from Malmo with a first place in the CCI two-star.
