“We believe Headley Britannia’s foals to be the most exciting Eventing progeny to be born in 2008,” proud owner and rider, Lucinda Fredericks.
Headley Britannia’s (“Brit’s”) history-making run to become the first mare to win both the Badminton and Burghley CCI 4**** titles puts Lucinda and Brit in a unique position. They are the only partnership on record to win Burghley in the Autumn of one year and come out the following Spring to take the Badminton title.
Brit topped off the 2007 Season being named Personality of the Year 2007 from the Animal Health Trust.
“The class of a horse is in great part a product of the quality of its ancestors. It is no wonder we are so excited about the potential of this foal.
“Not only that, Headley Britannia and sire, Jaguar Mail - world renowned French show jumping stallion and winner of the Sire of the World 2007 - are both listed to compete in their respective disciplines at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
“If Clayton and I also both end up competing at this year’s Olympics in August it will be a spectacular year for TEAM FREDERICKS,” said Lucinda.
