What a magnificent time we had in HONG KONG at the Beijing Olympics. Achieving the Team Silver Medal still seems like a dream come true for Lucinda and I.
Having most of our family, friends and owners with us to savour the moment was the best. A big thank to you all for being there for us, especially our grooms Lisa Baker and Kate Hort - great job ladies.
We must also say a big thanks to our team mates. We all had great successes, but the camaraderie we shared and the fun we had after the games was second to none.
Thanks to the Australian Olympic Committee, The Australian Sports Commission and Equestrian Federation of Australia.
Since we arrived home we have competed at Martinvast in France with success. I won the CIC 2** with Frog, Lucinda was third in the CIC1* with Liilibet and I qualified Poilu for the 3 star with a 9th place in the World Cup.
We also competed at Gatcombe in the CIC2*. 130 started and Lord Buckingham finished 8th and Double Joy was 10th.
Ellie has started 'big' school and loves every minute of it. The only downfall is that she is used to going to nursery school from nine until three, and at the new school, the first two weeks are only half days.
Our next big event is the World Cup final in Deauville, France. Both Ben Along Time and Headley Britannia will be competing, so we are both looking forward to that one!
I head for Boekelo with Poilu and we have horses (6-7 year olds) going to Lelion DeAnges - Mr. Miller, Enchanted Ruby and Lillibet.
Then I am going to Pau, in the south of France with The Frog aiming for the CCI 4****. Lord Buckingham and Dunges Laurent Rose are entered in the CIC2**.
Watch out for the big event at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff in November. Both Ben and Brit will be there.
See you around, cheers, Clayton
